Who can apply?

Researchers, who are full-time employed at any Armenian university.

 

What is a Request for Proposal (RFP)?

A request for proposal (RFP) is a notice that provides potential applicants with detailed information on purpose, focus areas, expected results and instructions on how to apply.

 

What is the role of Policy Liaison?

The applicant must identify a team member who will be acting as the project Policy Liaison. The Policy Liaison, who shall be an integral part of the project team (and could be the principal researcher), will ensure continuous contact between research project and the responsible government body for which the policy research is being conducted. The role of the Policy Liaison is to facilitate the integration of research results and findings into national policies and programs. In the final report of the team, the Policy Liaison should ensure reflection on the successes and barriers to engagement and integration of project results. The Policy Liaison designee shall have experience and demonstrated capabilities in performing her/his prescribed responsibilities.

What are direct costs?

Direct costs are those costs that are utilized to rent accommodations/space, equipment, transportation, office supply, communication, printing, and equipment.

 

Whom can I involve in the team?

Your team should have a Principal Investigator (researcher), Policy Liaison, and other team members.

 

What format is requested for the submission of proposals?

Proposals should be submitted in PDF format as an attachment to the application.

 

When do I need to submit my application?

What does NOT PDRF cover?

PDRF does NOT provide funds to participate in international conferences; to buy equipment, to cover tuition fee. Please refer to PDRF criteria at: https://pdrf.aua.am

 

 What is the maximum amount allocated for a given grant?

There is no limit for a given project’s funding. Grants are awarded on the basis of a competitive selection process that ranks applicants according to their research value/methodology/price as well as relevant professional experience. In certain cases, Request for Proposal may specify the upper limit for the funding of a given project. PDRF may finance 1- 3 projects within this cycle.
